ColdStash was launched in April 2009 as a new division of Forge, LLC. Our founder spent 25 years in the industrial gas distribution industry supplying a wide variety of clients requiring unique cryogenic storage solutions to store critical specimens. This exposure to the cryogenic industry lead them recognize that they could capitalize on their industry knowledge and provide value with innovative new products and competitive pricing to this emerging new market involving cryopreservation of human cells and tissues.
Cryogenics and cord blood banking, in particular, initially presented opportunities to improve on the status quo, add real value to clients and their customers, and improve their ROI. By taking a broader view of the market, and its needs, the ColdStash team has a single mission to develop a complete end-to-end product line that increases efficiencies, enhances storage capacities, improves worker safety and maximizes productivity and revenue generation.
Innovations include our space saving cassettes and rack systems, the new VialStash hinged storage box, VialMax magnetic cap system, VialTrieve retrieval wand, space saving cassettes and rack systems, and CryoCovers.
All of our efforts are to be your single-source supplier for cryogenic storage, retrieval and shipping needs.

As the newest member of our team, Charlotte is responsible for directing all of the day-today operations of ColdStash. Given the “lean-and-mean” size of ColdStash, this is not an easy task. Charlotte balances her days as the Customer Account Manager for the Americas as well as our Distributors, where she has direct client contact and supervision for product procurement, customization requests, vendor relationships and quality control.
Charlotte is an integral part of the success of ColdStash and is in many cases the go-to person for any client inquiries; large, small, or seemingly mundane – she either has the answer or will find out.
Charlotte grew up in Sweden where she studied Business Economics and first moved to Toronto, Canada, to complete her degree at University of Toronto, receiving her Bachelor degree in Criminology and Social Studies. After a career as a social worker she returned to school earning a Teachers degree at Lakehead University, with a strong focus on science and family studies. After teaching for several years and directing all of the day-today customer service of their family’s Log Home and Timber Frame business, she joined Coldstash.
A mother of twins who were conceived through IVF, Charlotte is passionate about the science of cryogenic storage and how our customers brings and keeps science alive by helping to enrich their clients’ lives. When not working, she loves spending time with her friends, family, horses and adorable miniature dachshunds – and when she feels inspired her paint brushes works their magic.
